- Quick plug ESS connector. The currents cover 60A (10mm² wire), 80A (16mm² wire), 120A (25mm² wire), 150A (35mm² wire), 200A (50mm² wire), 250A (70mm² wire), 310A (95mm² wire), 350A (120mm² wire), 420A (150mm² wire), 450A (150mm² wire), 500A (185mm² wire).
- Stacked Connector for Home Use ESS. The currents cover 60A (10mm² wire), 100A (25mm² wire). The connector’s structure includes 3 power+ 12 signals, 3 power + 14 signals, 5 power+12 signal etc.
- Bolt Connector for ESS. The current can be from 250A- 600A.
- Manual Service Disconnector(MSD), from 200A-630A.
Trend For ESS (Energy Storage System) Connection
- High Voltage / High Current Becoming the Norm: The voltage platform for energy storage systems is generally evolving from 1000V toward 1500V and even 2000V, while current ratings are increasing from the previous 120A and 200A levels to 300A, 500A, and even 600A.
- Material and Process Upgrades: To address the heat generation issues associated with high power, connectors are beginning to adopt high-conductivity copper alloy spring contacts to reduce contact resistance. Meanwhile, housing materials are being upgraded to high-grade engineering plastics such as flame-retardant PA66/PC to meet the UL 94 V-0 flammability rating requirements.
- Liquid Cooling Technology: In high-current applications exceeding 500A (such as commercial & industrial energy storage and large containerized energy storage systems), traditional air cooling can no longer meet heat dissipation needs. Liquid-cooled energy storage connectors are becoming a key differentiating technology.
- Rise of Flexible Busbar: Inside the compact space of battery packs, traditional bulky wiring harnesses are difficult to route. Flexible busbar are being increasingly used in large-scale energy storage systems due to their advantages such as customizable bending shapes, small footprint, and excellent heat dissipation performance.
